Congratulations to the OCHS Technology Student Association Robotics Team and the Prospect Heights Middle School Team for competing at the Shenandoah Qualifier held at UVA on Saturday, December 16, 2017. The OCHS Hornets team was ranked 2nd in gameplay (undefeated until their 5th match) and finished 7th ranked 4-1 overall.

The Hornets received the Judges Award. They were honored because of their performance on and off the playing field during the day!

This award is optional and may not be given at all tournaments. During the competition, the judging panel may meet a Team whose unique efforts, performance or dynamics merit recognition, but doesn’t fit into any of the existing award categories. To recognize these unique Teams, FIRST offers a Judges Award. The judging panel may select a Team to be honored. The Judges Award recognizes a Team for their outstanding efforts. Gracious Professionalism is listed as the first criteria for this award.

The Hornets advance to the State Tournament which will be held on Saturday, February 24 at St. Christopher’s School in Richmond.
