Thursday, February 22nd, LGPS students and staff were joined by community members and businesses for a ribbon cutting ceremony to open their Little Free Library. Community members and parents donated and presented books. LOW Lions Club donated $100 to purchase books. 84 Lumber of Culpeper donated building materials and LGPS PTA helped with expenses.
Mrs. Janice Wilson, LGPS Reading Specialist, coordinated the project by enlisting parent, Buck Dodson, to build the library and co-worker,Melanie McPhee, to help paint it. Wilson visited businesses to encourage community involvement. Thanks to everyone for the generous donations! Come by to visit our library and leave a book, borrow a book!
