Locust Grove Middle School STEM Explorer students used 3D pens to translate triangles into pyramids and 2D flat drawings into 3D objects. Art is commonly viewed as creative, abstract, and self-expressive; engineering as systemic, analytical, logical. The 3D pen is a means to combine these 2 ways of thinking.

The pens were bought with a grant given to LGMS by the Lake of the Woods Lions Club.
