Third grade students went on a field trip to Monticello. Before the field trip, third grade spent time studying Ancient Greece and the different types of columns designed during this time. While visiting Monticello, students were able to identify the types of architecture influenced by the Greeks, tour Thomas Jefferson’s house, visit his garden, and they even got to run a foot race in his front yard. It was so much fun visiting a historical place right in our backyard! Pictured is Ms. Pritchett’s 3rd grade class.
