The Lake of the Woods Lions Club presented Dr. Snead and the School Board with a $10,000 donation for the STEM Bus Project at the February 4th School Board meeting at Prospect Heights Middle School. On top of this donation, the LOW Lions Club is also offering to match dollar-for-dollar up to $5,000 any other donations received for the STEM Bus project before January 1, 2020. With this huge donation by the Lions Club, we hope to be able to use the STEM Bus by this summer! If you would like more information about the STEM Bus or would like to donate to this project, please contact STEM Coordinator Jessica Sarver at jessicasarver@ocss-va.org .

This donation from the Lake of the Woods Lions Club continues the long history this club has with supporting Orange County Public Schools. Last year, the LOW Lions donated over $26,000 to support Orange County Public Schools students in various ways, including teacher innovative grants, support for programs such as robotics, music, and LEO Clubs at Orange County High School and Locust Grove Middle School, and state-mandated vision and hearing screenings for all Orange County Public Schools students at no cost to the division. We thank the Lake of the Woods Lions Club for their support of the STEM Bus and the many other ways they continue to support the students at Orange County Public Schools!
