Mrs. Howie’s OCHS Art Club students partnered with the Orange Downtown Alliance this autumn season to create an art installation in Downtown Orange. Working with an employee of the Smithsonian, the OCHS Art Club constructed two scarecrow sculptures: the Dancer to celebrate Orange’s fantastic school of the performing arts, and the Artist to celebrate Orange’s distinctive creative community. Art Club students and Grymes Memorial School students gathered at the Arts Center to create their multi-media sculptures using repurposed materials.
