We are customarily aware that the teaching and learning process occurs at the nexus of relationships intertwined carefully with the art of teaching and the science of teaching. What we’ve recently come to realize, in a more apparent fashion, is how can we foster those same experiences for the teaching and learning process given an abrupt change to the environment for which we’ve all been formerly accustomed. It is at this point that I find myself with an unprecedented reverence for our teachers’ ability to do just that: successfully continue the teaching and learning process for our students while maintaining relationships in a completely different and challenging set of circumstances, not of anyone’s choosing. THANK YOU, teachers, for your courage, creativity, and resilience to keep the year moving for our students. You are a part of history and you are appreciated!
