Discovery Calendar May

 

Friday, May 9 – 7^th Grade - Staunton River trail SNP. As a community service project, we will be doing trail maintenance for the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club. We will also be doing quite a bit of hiking and stream wading.  Students need a BIG bag lunch two, liters of water, and weather appropriate hiking/work clothes.

Depart LGMS at 8AM and return at 7PM.

 

 

Wednesday, May 28 – 7^th grade – For the final trip of the year we are going hiking, fishing and swimming on our local Rappahannock River at the Friends of the Rappahannock property in Fredericksburg. Students need a big bag lunch, two liters of water, river shoes (old sneakers that lace up tight to protect feet from rocks and debris) and hiking shoes – these should be worn to the trip as we will start out hiking upstream for a mile or two.

 Depart LGMS at 8AM and return at 5PM.

 

  

Friday, May 30 – 8^th grade – Same trip as above.
