Ms. Riddle’s First Grade class at GBES Celebrates 100th Day of School
Ms. Riddle’s First Grade class at Gordon-Barbour Elementary School celebrated the 100th day of school on February 8.
In language arts, students wrote about what they would like to have a 100 of and why, listened to a few stories about 100 or the 100th day of school, completed a 100th day book, and read one hundred words.
In math these little learners counted by 1’s, 2’s, 5’s, and 10’s to reach one hundred. Then first graders worked in teams using manipulatives to show 100, and grouping to reach 100.
For fun, students colored hats proclaiming, ‘100 Days Smarter.’ Only 80 days of school to go!
