School Board Honors Staff Members and Local Businesses at May Meeting

At the May 1 School Board Meeting, Senator Bryce Reeves presented Mrs. Ernestine Reid, a former OCPS teacher, with a Commending Resolution agreed to by the Senate and the House for going above and beyond for the students in Orange County.

Ashlyn Ryder, OCPS Pre-School Teacher, received the LIFE-Lead, Inspire, Focus and Excel Award at the May 1 School Board Meeting.  This award is given to staff members for their exceptional work leading and inspiring others to excel.  These staff members demonstrate behaviors that are consistently focused, going above and beyond the normal work routine to support and encourage excellence.

Orange County School Board recognized Reynolds Subaru, represented by Mr. David Penton and Tiger Fuel Company, represented by Ms. Kara Carter, as Orange County Public Schools’ nominees to the 2017 Virginia School Boards Association (VSBA)  Business Honor Roll.  This Honor Roll is a way for local school divisions to recognize local businesses for their support of our schools.
