The official day for Veterans Day is November 11th. This day is a very symbolic day we honor those who have served in the Armed Forces and have fought for our country. So, today, Friday, November 9, 2018, is Breakfast with a Veteran.
At Lightfoot Elementary, our students want to say thank you to those who have served within the five branches of service. We acknowledge that men and women have dedicated their life to ensure our freedom. Our students are very excited about recognizing and thanking their loved ones who are with us and for those who have lost their lives defending our country.
This program is for our community where students who have family members who have served and can be honored while giving thanks.
May you enjoy this event and remember we are grateful!
