Legal Basis for the Code of Conduct

Each local school board shall ensure that the policy manual includes… “the standards of student conduct and attendance and enforcement procedures designed to provide that public education be conducted in an atmosphere free of disruption and threat to persons or property and supportive of individual right.” (Standards and Regulations for Public Schools in Virginia, 22.1-253.13:7, Standard 7D Policy Manual)

Parents are asked to read the Student Code of Conduct, review the standards with their child/children and sign a Parental Statement of Receipt.  The Parental Statement of Receipt should be sent back to the appropriate school.
