Insurance The School Board wishes to inform all parents of children in the Orange County Public Schools that it is NOT possible for the Schools to provide free medical care or insurance coverage for its students. The medical payments provision of the School Board’s commercial general liability insurance policy specifically excludes bodily injury to students; this is common practice in the insurance industry and is not unique to Orange County. The Schools make available to parents each year a student accident policy and a dental accident policy providing coverage in addition to any existing family medical, dental, and/or health insurance coverage. This student accident insurance coverage will be offered by Scholastic Insurers, Inc. for the 2006-2006 school year and is relatively inexpensive. The student dental accident coverage is provided by Delta Dental. Information explaining the student accident and the dental accident insurance and applications are available through each school’s office or by contacting the Central Office in Orange at 540-661-4550.
