Box Top BIG NUMBERS!!
The PTO has announced the winners of the first Boxtop contest of the year. One homeroom from each grade level will receive a special prize. The winner's are: Mrs. Horner's class with 371 Boxtops, Ms. Stephenson's class with 204 Boxtops and Mrs. Sidle's class with 616 Boxtops!! The total for the school was 2883 Boxtops! Way to go Lightfoot! Keep collecting those Boxtops!!

Mrs. Frizzle at the Book Fair and Family Fun Night
Lightfoot Elementary hosted a Family Fun Night and Book Fair on Tuesday, Sept. 19th, 2006. Special visitors included Mrs. Frizzle (Mrs. Shipes) and Jungle Guides (Ms. Anderson and Mrs. Yowell)! In addition to shopping the the rainforest, students, parents, grandparents and staff played the African Drums and enjoy fun games and activities available to all. The PTO generously prepared a nice dinner and a good time was had by everyone. Once again Lightfoot was the place to be for fun and learning!
