Orange County Public Schools
will be hosting Summer School on the following dates:
July 7--24th for K-12 students
June 30—July 24th for End-of-course Writing at OCHS
We will be serving students at four locations: Orange
County High School (grades 8 -12); Locust Grove Middle
School (grades 5-7); Orange Elementary (K-5); and Locust
Grove Elementary (K-4)
We need site coordinators
and highly qualified teachers and are inviting you to
apply by Monday, March 3, to the Department of Human
Resources at the school board office. Attached is an
application which can be downloaded, completed, and
ponied to Yvonne Dawson.
Also attached is a calendar for June and July, an
attachment which describes the sites, and an attachment
entitled "Structure" which explains working hours and
pay. Please note that this year the summer academies
will run from Monday -Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:15
p.m.
Details about programs, materials and resources will be
communicated through the site coordinators at a later
date. If you have questions, please contact Linda
Carlton (ext. 1621) for secondary or Chuck Winkler (ext.
1600) for elementary.
