Please be reminded that our meal service resumes tomorrow, Thursday, April 2nd between the hours of 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM at UES, OCHS, and GBES. The USDA has provided waivers allowing a parent or guardian to pick up their children’s meals without the child being present in the vehicle. However, should a child not be present in the vehicle the waiver requires that the parent/guardian sign-in with their name, address, and children’s names who will be receiving the meals. After the meal service on April 2nd, meal service will resume on Thursday, April 16th between the hours of 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM. On April 16th, LGMS will be added to the list of locations in addition to the current locations of UES, OCHS, and GBES.

We also want to take the time to thank the teachers, staff, and principals for their flexibility and creativity in designing meaningful learning experiences for our students. They have been working diligently on plans while also interacting with our families. We are grateful that we have the opportunity to conduct faculty meetings, grade level meetings, and planning meetings through Zoom. This has afforded us the ability to professionally engage safely while also being our personal best [division-wide] for our students. Our mission continues to be to care for all of our students’ learning while providing a sense of connection and purpose for them. Our target week to deploy these learning experiences remains to be the week of April 13 after our formerly regularly scheduled spring break.

Lastly, please know that plans for graduation are being developed in a collaborative manner through the high school administration. It’s too early to determine what those plans will look like, but it is a commitment of ours to ensure that our seniors are provided this opportunity.

While almost everything we once thought routine has now changed to resemble a different form, the certainties that continue to provide us clarity are our steadfast relationships and our caring for one another.

Stay safe, healthy, and continue to embrace good choices!
