On Friday, February 11th, six OC FFA members traveled to Virginia Tech to compete in the Block & Bridle Hippology competition. This competition tests participants’ knowledge of horses through different stations consisting of tack, tools, anatomy, horse health, judging, and more. This was Orange County FFA’s first attempt at a Hippology competition.

Out of 59 teams competing, Team 1,  comprised of Liv LaPanta, Hailee Perdue, and Annie Bourke, placed 2nd overall.  Team 2, comprised of Josie Flannery, Kailey Woodcock, and Camryn Carter, placed 33rd.  Out of 194 individual contestants, Liv LaPanta placed 2nd overall and Hailee Perdue placed 11th overall.
