OCPS Solar Initiative
In late 2020, Orange County Public Schools ushered in a new era of renewable energy usage. In a project spanning the better part of 2 years, OCPS facilities received solar panels for which savings and efficiency will be enjoyed for years to come.
Solar panels have been installs on the OES roof and will soon provide power to the building.
Orange Elementary (pictured here), The Taylor Education and Administration Building, and the Orange County High School Field House all received new a new solar array mounted on their respective roof. These installs will generate up to 265kw saving money and augmenting the power provided to each building by the power companies.
