Annual Required Notifications
Orange County Public Schools is required to provide certain information in order to comply with annual notification requirements set forth by federal and/or state code or regulation or School Board Policy. These notifications can be found on the division's Annual Required Notifications page.

Facilities Usage
The School Board may permit use of school property by members of the community when such use will not impair the efficiency of the school.

Fentanyl Awareness
- the dangers of fentanyl use;

Head Start & VPI Programs
Orange County Public Schools' Preschool Programs include:
- Head Start Preschool: Ages 3 & 4
- Early Head Start Preschool: Ages 6 weeks to 3 years old
- Virginia Preschool Initiative (VPS State Funded): Age 4 years by September 30th of each school year.

Home Instruction
Home Instruction information must be submitted annually. For information on Home Instruction procedures please visit the division's Home Instruction Information page.
Homebound Services
Homebound instruction shall be made available to students who are confined at home or in a health care facility for periods that would prevent normal school attendance based upon certification of need by a licensed physician or licensed clinical psychologist. For students eligible for special education or related services, the Individualized Education Program committee must revise the IEP, as appropriate, to direct off-site instruction.

Out-of-County Student Application
ADMISSION OF NONRESIDENT STUDENTS IN OCPS
A student who is not a bona fide resident of Orange County shall not be permitted to enroll in OCPS. However, at the School Board’s sole discretion, a nonresident student may be admitted to OCPS on a tuition-paying basis in accordance with Va. Code § 22.1-5 and pursuant to Orange County School Board Regulation JEC-R School Admission. Learn more.

Student Transfers
Student Transfers
All transfer requests shall be considered for approval within the constraints of school, grade level, and classroom capacities as well as program and/or curriculum availability. Requests to transfer for students who require special programs, services, and supports will only be considered if the required programs, services, and supports are available at the requested school. Parents/Guardians must complete the Student Transfer Request Form (JCA-F1) each year. If child care is the reason for the transfer request, parents/guardians must also complete the Child Care Verification Form (JCA-F2).

Tutoring
OCPS will be participating in the Virginia Department of Education's ALL In Tutoring program to provide high-intensity academic tutoring to our students. Details will be provided to families once tutoring schedules have been finalized at each school.
