We are in full swing this school year, and our programs are almost at capacity! We still have room for a few more 4-year-olds, so please encourage any interested families to apply.

Remember, you can apply anytime throughout the year, no matter your child's age. We often have families move, which opens up new slots.

The Power of Reading and the 50-Book Challenge 📚

Literacy is at the top of our list this year, as enriching children with stories and language is the best way to increase their knowledge and communication skills. We need your help at home to make this a success!

Please read to your preschooler every night, no matter their age. Children who are read to regularly develop better communication skills, can follow directions more easily, and have more advanced language. Reading aloud is also a great way to improve their listening skills.

Is your rising kindergartener aware of our 50-Book Challenge? We encourage all our students to participate!

Head Start and Early Head Start Enrollment is continuing this fall.  Registration for Head Start, Early Head Start, and VPI is going on now for the 25.26 school year.  If you have a child ages 6 weeks to 5 years old, on or before September 30th, you can register for preschool school or Early Head Start.  Applications can be found on this site under "Enroll now" or a hard copy can be obtained an any elementary school in the county, or stop by our main office at the Taylor School Board office. *ALL information requested on the form must be turned in before we will process the application.  You will then receive an automated email with further instructions for registration.*  Please check the USDA Poverty guidelines to help determine if your child could be eligible.

Orange County Head Start  and VPI announces the sponsorship of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).
